Chester Moynihan appointed Australian Investment Council Chair

10 February, 2026 - The Australian Investment Council, the national peak body for private capital, today announced Chester Moynihan has been elected Board Chair.
He succeeds Alicia Gregory who has retired after four years in the role.
Mr Moynihan is a Founding Partner at Allegro Funds, one of Australia’s largest private equity fund managers. He co-founded Allegro in 2004 and has a 35-year career spanning private equity, corporate advisory and executive management. He joined the Council board in November 2017.
Ms Gregory, who joined the Council board in November 2018, will remain on the board in her capacity as Managing Director at Blue Owl Capital.
